It's Christmas Time

I'm not sure if all of you know, but I LOVE Christmas! It's the time of year when I love to decorate, shop, and just be around friends & family. This year Christmas seems even more exciting with this little man! Micah & Mark went out to get the biggest Christmas tree on the lot, so the tree is up & decorated, all 11 feet of it! We took Jonas to see Santa & Mrs. Claus. The woman that ushered us up to see him clearly didn't know what an easy little guy he was because she instructed us to back up towards Santa to prevent him from seeing him before I sat Jonas in his lap....hmmmm. Anyhow, he did a great job, grabbed Santa's beard to make sure he was no fake! I also made sure he didn't smell like beef & cheese (for those of you that have watched the movie Elf, you know what I mean). Hope your Holiday season is going wonderfully so far! This year it's abnormally warm in Arizona for the holidays! We hope to take Jonas to see some snow on Mt. Lemmon if it gets cold enough!

Sport's Fan

Jonas has now been to an NFL game and a hockey game. Micah and I were offered some tickets to the Cardinals game, so we decided to take our little man. Tailgating is a little different these days :) We also met up with a couple of friends for the U of A vs ASU hockey game, which was also a good time. Jonas seems pretty interested for about 30 minutes at each of these sporting events, then falls asleep! Ha! Even with all that noise, he just crashes!

Jonas is now eating cereal! He is doing really well learning to work that little tongue. He LOVES sitting in his high chair, even if it's just to play with his toys. He's not quite sitting up by himself, but pretty close.

Happy Thanksgiving

Jonas is growing like crazy! He did weigh in around a half pound heavier than our turkey :) He's sitting up quite a bit more with our help and really starting to get interested in his toys!

5 Months....Really?!?

We can't believe Jonas is 5 months! Wow, the time really does fly! He's rolling around to get where he wants to go. He's on the verge of crawling with his butt in the air and scooting a little. He LOVES bathtime and snuggling with Mommy! We took him on a walk with Rigley on Saturday morning, and it's nice now that we can face him forward in the stroller. He looks like he's just soaking it all in. We feel like we've been blessed with such an amazing little guy!

Ritz Carlton Baby

Micah, Jonas and I all traveled up to Phoenix for a little car shopping, which was successful by the way! It was Jonas' first visit to a Ritz Carlton. He seemed to enjoy it :) These days he is smiling a lot! Always loving time with Mommy & Daddy!

Jonas was a cute little dalmation last night for our Halloween party. He had a good time hanging out with his little friends too! His cousin, Payton was a sweet little strawberry. His daycare girlfriend, Addy, was a sweet little kitty. And Gunnar, his buddy that is 3 weeks older, was that sweet little monkey!

JONAS IS 4 MONTHS!!!

OK, so I'm going to start this blogging thing, and really try to keep up with it :) We had our family pictures taken last weekend and should get the cd to post more today! Jonas just turned 4 months old! We can't hardly believe it! The time has flown. We've really been blessed with such a good baby! He's rolling like a mad man these days, so officially a belly sleeper now! Mornings are his best time. He's always chatting, giggling, and smiling! Doesn't get much better than this. Micah and I are both doing great. We are excited for Micah's new position at the Ritz Carlton as the HR Coordinator. It's a Monday through Friday position 8-5! For those of you that knew, that is a HUGE change from his position in Food & Beverage. Now we get to hang out as a family every weekend!

Back Home Again In Indiana

Our Visit to Indiana was great! We were able to see lots of our friends and family, and introduce them to our little man! Although we were in town for a week, it didn't feel long enough! Jonas was an amazing little traveler! Can't wait to plan another trip back to Indiana!

Payton's 1st Birthday!

Payton's 1st Birthday was fun! Can't believe our niece is getting so big! Jonas and Payton live 1.5 miles apart and are 11 months apart, so it will be fun to watch them grow together! Love At First Sight

Jonas Micah Hine was born at 10:21PM on June 22nd, 2010. He was a beautiful 7lb 11oz and 21.5 inches long! We were ecstatic! During delivery suction was used causing a hematoma on the back of his head between his scalp and skull. This was alarming to the doctors, so Jonas spent his first 40 hours in the NICU. The nurses and doctors were amazing! Luckily all of the tests were showing that he was improving and healing. By the time we were leaving on Thursday night, the fluid under his scalp was half the original size, and on Friday morning it was completely gone!

Here Comes Baby Jonas!

June 21st, 2010 at 8:45PM Micah & I made it to University Medical Center eager to have this baby! I began the induction process shortly after arriving. We had high hopes that this little boy would come just before my mom was arriving in Tucson at 10am. HA! Jonas was stubborn! Who knows where he gets that from?! After 26 hours of labor (3.5 hours of HARD pushing!), Jonas Micah Hine arrived!

We're Having A Baby Boy!

On October 13, 2009 Micah & I found out we were pregnant! We were both very excited....nervous and scared too! At week 19 we found out it was a baby boy! Micah was grinning from ear to ear during the ultrasound. He didn't say much, but sat there in amazement. I couldn't believe that creature was really growing inside of me. During that ultrasound he did quite a few flipturns, taking after his mommy's swimming skills already! Week 32 we went for a 4D ultrasound, so we were able to get a sneak peak as to what this little man might look like. We continued getting his room ready, strollers together, carseat in (thanks to Uncle Mark) & linens washed. Rigley would curiously go into his room placing her bones & toys thinking we must be making that room for her! As the due date approached Micah and I were very curious to see him, what his personality would be like, how much sleep we would get, and to see really how our lives would change forever! June 18th (the due date) came and went. No baby Jonas yet! I went to my final master's swim practice June 19th and swam extra hard thinking he has to come soon!
